ITINERARY
Today marks the beginning of your pilgrimage as you board your flight to Paris. As you embark on this journey, know that all necessary preparations for your journey have been made. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy your flight. Your spiritual journey starts here!
Upon arrival, you will receive airport assistance and have some free time for lunch. Then, you will meet your Nativity Pilgrimage Tour Guide for an exciting tour of Paris. The tour includes visits to iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the church of St. Eustache, Sainte Chapelle, which was built in 1248 to house Our Lord’s Crown of Thorns and other relics, the famous Opera House (outside visit), and the Arc de Triomphe (outside visit). Following the tour, you will proceed to the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal at Rue de Bac for a Mass. This chapel holds special significance as it was the site where Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830. Finally, you will be driven to your hotel for check-in, followed by a delicious dinner and overnight accommodations.
In the morning, we will enjoy a delightful breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to Lisieux, which is famously known as the home of St. Therese, also known as the “Little Flower of Jesus”. Our first stop will be the house where St. Therese spent her childhood, followed by a visit to the Carmel Convent where she dedicated herself as a nun. Later, after attending Mass, we will explore the magnificent Basilica of St. Theresa, including its Crypt, and also pay a visit to the stunning 13th Century Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter. We will return to Paris in the afternoon and conclude the day with a delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
After enjoying a delightful breakfast, we’ll venture to Montmartre, where we’ll marvel at the stunning Basilica of Sacre Coeur. Our day will culminate with a visit to the Basilica of St. Denis, home to the revered relics of Saint Denis, the patron saint of France. Following this, we’ll head to the train station and embark on a scenic train journey to Lourdes. Upon reaching our destination, we’ll check into our hotel for the evening. A delightful dinner and comfortable overnight accommodations await us at the hotel.
Following your morning meal, you will meet your guide to embark on a captivating full-day guided exploration of Lourdes. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of this charming town. This includes attending Mass at the Grotto of Massabielle, discovering the architectural marvels of the Basilica of St. Pius X, tracing the footsteps of Bernadette in the house where she lived during the Apparitions, and visiting various locations renowned for miraculous healings. Later, as evening falls, you will have the chance to join the mesmerizing candlelight procession. Your hotel will provide both dinner and comfortable overnight accommodations.
After breakfast, we will journey to Burgos, the cradle of Castille and the Gothic capital of Spain. Upon reaching Burgos, we will embark on a short tour, taking in the awe-inspiring Burgos Cathedral, the third-largest church in Spain. Renowned for its exquisite Spanish Gothic style, the cathedral is a testament to the country’s architectural splendor. Following the tour, we will check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at the hotel.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will proceed to Santiago de Compostela, with a stop in Leon along the way. Upon reaching Leon, we will be greeted by our guide for a brief tour. Our first stop will be the Cathedral, a stunning showcase of French-style classic Gothic architecture and a true marvel in Spain. We will also visit the Basilica of San Isidoro, a significant Romanesque church that serves as the final resting place of Leon’s medieval monarchs. You will have some free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Our journey will then continue to Santiago de Compostela, where we will check in to our hotel upon arrival. The evening will be dedicated to a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, rendezvous with your guide to commence a comprehensive guided tour of Santiago de Compostela. The day’s itinerary includes a visit to the renowned Cathedral, celebrated as a pinnacle of European architecture. Following a Mass, ascend the stairs behind the altar to access the crypt, housing a silver urn safeguarding the relics of St. James. Noteworthy highlights encompass the Portico de la Gloria, hailed as a peerless masterpiece, and an ascent to the Cathedral’s summit for a panoramic vista of the city. Additionally, a visit to the museum situated in the cloister adjoining the Cathedral is scheduled. Subsequently, dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at your hotel.
Following breakfast, we will set out for Fatima, with a stop planned at the Bom Jesus do Monte, an important pilgrimage shrine. Here, we will have the opportunity to attend Mass and then take in the beauty of the numerous chapels, stunning stairs, serene gardens, and the picturesque lake. Our journey will then take us to Porto, where we will have some free time for lunch before embarking on a guided tour of the city. During the tour, we will visit the impressive Cathedral and marvel at the intricately decorated Church of Sao Francisco. Our next destination will be Fatima, one of the world’s most significant Marian Shrines. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel, where dinner and overnight accommodations have been arranged.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before joining us for a special Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions, where Our Lady appeared. Following the Mass, your guide will take you on a fascinating tour of Fatima. Visit the Basilica to pay your respects at the graves of Francisco and Jacinta, and then journey to the quaint hamlet of Aljustrel, where the three children lived during the Apparitions. Next, we’ll continue to Valinhos, the very site where Our Lady appeared after the children’s release from prison. In the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacre, the very place of the first Apparition. After a day filled with spiritual experiences, enjoy a delightful dinner and spend the night at your comfortable hotel.
After enjoying your breakfast, you will have the opportunity to meet your guide for an enriching tour of Fatima. The remainder of the day is yours to engage in personal activities. You will then return to your hotel for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.
Our pilgrimage comes to a close today as we transfer to the Lisbon Airport for our return flight home.
