ITINERARY
Today: We arrive in the beautiful, picturesque city of Rome. We will meet our tour guide, board our touring vehicle, and begin a panoramic tour of the ” Eternal City.” Then, we will continue to your hotel to settle in and unpack. There will be free time for personal activities.
Tonight: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

Today: This morning, we begin by attending a Papal audience with Pope Francis. Afterward, we will visit the Vatican Museums containing centuries of beautiful artwork and artifacts. See works of Michelangelo, such as the Pietà and the Sistine Chapel. Next, we will explore St. Peter’s Basilica, built over the tomb of Saint Peter. We will also visit the recently excavated necropolis. Afterward, we return to your hotel.

Today: After breakfast, we will visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran, once the papal residence from the fifth century until the papacy departed for Avignon, France. Across the street, we will visit the Scala Sancta—or Holy Stairs—the stairs Jesus climbed to face Pontius Pilate. Next, we will visit the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, which houses the relics of Saint Paul the Apostle. We continue to the Church of Domine Quo Vadis, where Christ appeared to Peter and gave him the courage to follow him to martyrdom, as predicted in the Gospels. Finally, we will tour the catacombs where early Christians are buried and where they also practiced their faith in hiding to avoid persecution. We will return to our hotel afterward.

Today: After breakfast, we will travel south, crossing the rich Italian countryside of vineyards, fruit trees, and olive groves. Get your cameras ready because there will be some fantastic views. We will soon arrive in Monte Cassino, a city Saint Benedict founded in 529. We begin with a tour of the magnificent Monte Cassino Abbey, where Saint Benedict founded the Benedictine Order. Next, we will see the Church of Saints Peter and Paul before continuing to San Giovanni Rotondo for the evening,

Today: We begin in the hometown of St. Padre Pio by celebrating mass at his tomb, followed by a tour of the sanctuary. We will continue to visit the old church and the crucifix he stood before when receiving the stigmata in 1918. Next is the confessional, where he counseled and led people on their path. We stand and pray before the incorrupt body of Padre Pio. Leaving San Giovanni Rotondo, we will have a fantastic view of the Gargano peninsula as we pass the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel. Saints, popes, and people everywhere have come to the Grotto, seeking the protection and intercession of St. Michael. Afterward, we will return to your hotel.

Today: We will make our way to Lanciano and celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Longinus, where we will see the Eucharistic Miracle. Next, we will continue toward the Adriatic coast to the great Marian Shrine of Loreto, where we will visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. Enjoy lunch before we continue to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the founder of the Franciscan Order.

Today: We will celebrate Mass at St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, where we will see the Porziuncola, the tiny church in the woods where St. Francis began his ministry and St. Clare began her religious life. Next, we will tour the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and view the crucifix that said to him, “Rebuild my Church.” Next, we will visit the chapel where St. Francis spent most of his time and the Church of St. Clare. The rest of the day is free for shopping or relaxing at your hotel.

Today: This morning, we will have free time for prayer and private devotions. After lunch, the rest of your afternoon is free before we depart on an overnight ferry from Ancona, Italy, to Split, Croatia.

Today: We arrive this morning in Croatia and are greeted by our tour guide, who will take you on a journey to Medjugorje. Enjoy the scenery as you head into town. Take some time to walk around and get familiar with or relax at the hotel.

Today: While in Medjugorje, you will have the opportunity to experience your faith grow and share the faith journey of other pilgrims worldwide. We will celebrate mass this morning and then climb Apparition Hill, where the visionaries met with Our Lady for the first time. At the base of the hill is a Blue Cross, where it is said that Our Lady appeared to the children while hiding from the communist police in the early days of the apparitions. Each pilgrim will have time for private devotions, lunch, shopping, or just enjoying their time in Medjugorje.

Today: We will transfer to the airport this morning to catch our return flight home.
