ITINERARY

Your pilgrimage begins by boarding your flight to Cologne, Germany. Meals and drinks are served on board. Relax and enjoy your flight. Your spiritual journey awaits in Germany!

Upon arrival in Cologne, we will meet your tour guide, board the touring vehicle, and take a panoramic city tour. Afterward, we will continue to your hotel for the evening. Dinner & overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

Today, we will tour Germany’s fourth-largest city, starting with the Cologne Cathedral (kolner Dom), the seat of Cologne’s Archbishop and one of the largest Cathedrals in the world. Next, we will visit San Martin’s Church, the Basilica of St Severin, and other interesting sites. Dinner & overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

We depart for Frankfurt this morning. Upon arrival, we will meet your tour guide and board the group’s touring vehicle. We will begin our half-day tour in Römerberg, Frankfurt’s main square and the historic heart of the medieval Altstadt (old town). This iconic square is home to the Römer, which has been Frankfurt’s city hall since the 15th century. Despite extensive damage from World War II, the Römerberg’s unique architecture has been carefully restored. Next, we will continue to the Palmengarten, the largest garden of its kind in Germany whose botanical wonderland features an exotic array of plants and trees from around the world. Explore the 14-building greenhouse complex and admire rare tropical and subtropical plant species. We will then transfer to your hotel for the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

After breakfast, we will depart for Munich. En route, we’ll make a short stop in Nuremberg and take a brief walking tour to get acquainted with its historic Old Town area. We will visit the Lorenzkirche, a medieval church of the former free imperial city of Nuremberg which contains several incredible works of art. After our tour, we will continue to Munich and check into your hotel for the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

This morning, we will observe great panoramic views of interesting places like the Allianz Arena. We will stop for a nice lunch at Marienplatz, a Medieval public square in the heart of Munich. Since its construction, it has been the site of tournaments, executions, and markets. Next, we’ll continue to visit the twin-towered Frauenkirche (the Church of Our Lady), the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich. The Cathedral is widely considered a symbol of Munich, whose construction began in 1468. We will then have free time to explore independently before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

Today, we will travel to Salzburg. Together with the Sound of Music, Salzburg is also famous for being the birthplace of Amadeus Mozart, one of the world’s greatest composers. We will visit the Cathedral and the birthplace of Mozart before taking off through the city, with the film’s soundtrack as you pass famous locations featured in the film. Marvel at the city’s architecture and see the Lake District, one of the most impressive regions in the heart of Austria. Next, we’ll continue to the charming town of Mondsee, where you will have free time to explore the setting of the film’s wedding at the Mondsee Cathedral. Wander the streets at your leisure, stopping for a delicious slice of crisp apple strudel or browsing the local shops. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

Today, we will travel to the town of Styria and visit the Mariazell Basilica. This basilica was built between the 14th & 15th centuries, has Baroque interiors, and is the home of “The Magna Mater Austria” (Mary Mother of Austria). Afterward, we will continue to Vienna. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

Today, we will take a tour of Vienna, as we stroll along the charming squares and medieval streets, learning the rich history and culture behind Austria’s capital. We will see the Vienna Opera House, Heroes’ Square, St Augustine’s Church, St Stephen’s Cathedral, and Mozart’s House, the composer’s only surviving Viennese residence. Finally, we will explore Naschmarkt, one of the city’s most popular and impressive markets, followed by the extravagant Hofburg Palace. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

We will transfer to the airport this morning to catch our return flight home.
