1

DEPART FROM USA TO ISRAEL

Today: Your pilgrimage begins today as you depart on your overnight flight to Israel. Meals and drinks served aloft.

ARRIVAL JAFFA / TEL AVIV / TIBERIAS

Today: Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport you will be greeted by your Escort Guide and driver and after the customs process you will board your bus to your hotel.

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

CAESAREA / MT. CARMELO / MEGGIDO / GODEON SPRING / MT. TABOR

Today: This morning we will leave our hotel and drive north via the Sharon Valley (Song of Songs 2:1), along the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea. Here we will visit the Roman Theater and crusader ruins at Caesarea, then onto the aqueduct serve as a back-drop to The Book of Acts; 10:1 Cornelius was the first gentile to become a Christian and St. Paul (Acts; 23:23) was for two years imprisonment here before he sailed to Rome. After the visit of Caesarea drive to MT. Carmel, where Elijah the prophet Challenge to Ehab (1 Kings: 18).   Drive to Meggido (Armageddon, Rev.16: 16). One of the three chariot cities of King Solomon (1 kings 9:15). Being reminded of the legendary historical figures that marched their armies through this area. Continue to Gideon Spring, everything “fits” as we stand at Gideon’s brook, the “Well of Harod” (Judges 7:1), read the scriptures, kneel down and drink from the stream where the chosen    “300” drank, and be reminded afresh that any minority with God is an overwhelming majority. Continue to Mt. Tabor, where the battle of Barak against Sisera, (Judg. 4:4-16), also Mt. Tabor considered by some Christians as Mt. of Transfiguration with its Church and Monastery, Take special taxi for ascending and descending to the summit and back.

CANA / NAZARETH / ZIPORI / KFAR KEDEM / TEL DAN / CAESAREA PHILIPI    

Today: This morning we will start with via Cana of Galilee, where the Lord made His First Miracle, (John 2), proceed to Nazareth (Luke 1 & 2), to walk through the market to the Synagogue (Luke 4: 16-30), continue walking to the spring of Nazareth. From Nazareth we will drive to Zipori, to visit the ruins of this important city from the time of Jesus in Galilee. After the visit we will have a unique opportunity to visit a village where we will have the chance to bake the bread, ride donkeys and have special lunch in a tent like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In the afternoon, drive to the Upper Galilee to visit Tel Dan where the Tribe of Dan was there (Judg. 18: 7, 27), “Dan to Beer-Sheba” (Judg. 20:1). From here onto Caesarea Philipi, one of the three sources of the Jordan River, here where St. Peter confess that Jesus is the Messiah (Mark 8: 27-30).

CAPERNAUM / BETHSAIDA / MT. OF BEATITUDES / TABGHA / GADARENES

Today: This morning we will start with a boat ride to Capernaum, drive to Bethsaida, the home of Philip, Peter and Andrew (John 1:44), from here onto Chorazin (Mat. 11:21-23). Proceed to Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached his Sermon on the Mount (Mat. 5). Drive to Tabgha where the Lord fed the 5000 men (Mark 6:32-44). Our next stop will be Capernaum the Lord’s home city for two years. Here He called Peter, Andrew, James and John and gave them the express invitation to become His active followers in the ministry (Mark 1:16-21). More recorded miracles took place here than in any other area. Afternoon drive to the site of the Gadarenes (today the site called Kursi). Here where the Lord permits the Demons to enter the herd of swine (Luke 8: 26-40).

BETH-SHE’AN / JERICHO/ QASER EL YAHUD “JORDAN RIVER”

Today: This morning we will leave the Sea of Galilee, drive to Beth-She’an, where the bodies of Saul and his 3 sons where hung by the Philistines on the walls of this city (1 Samuel 31:8-12). Beth She’an was one of the 10 Gentiles Cities (The Decapolis), here we will visit the ruins of this important city, see the Roman Theatre, the main street (Palladius Street), the Roman Temple and the baths.    Drive along the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the world’s oldest city. Just beside the wall of Jericho, to the East, is the fountain of Elisha. It was here the spring’s bitter waters were turned sweet by the prophet’s handful of salt (2 Kings 11-15). Near this city Jesus healed the sight of blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52). From here the Mt. of Temptation can be seen (Matt 4:1). We Continue to Qaser El Yahud for the Baptism site and is also near the Jordanian part of the Baptism site.

BETHLEHEM / EIN KAREM

Today: Bethlehem, starlit village and where there was no room in the Inn (Luke 1: 4-7), the city where Jesus was born. We will visit the Church of Nativity, and see the site of the birthplace of Jesus. Drive to the Shepherds Fields, to see where the Angel of God appeared to the Shepherds (Luke 2:8-20). Stop for shopping in Bethlehem. Afternoon, we drive to Ein Karem village, the birthplace of John the Baptist, visit the Church commemorate the site of the birth of John the Baptist.

JERUSALEM / DEAD SEA

Today: This morning we will drive through the Judean Desert to Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls where found for a visit, here we’ll have opportunity to float (swim) on the water of the Dead Sea. Continue to Massada where a determined band of Jewish Zealots in the face if unimaginable hardship and privation held off their Roman attackers for an incredible three years after Jerusalem had fallen to Titus in 70 A.D. Upon arriving to the foot of the Mountain on which Massada sits, you will ascend the summit by a modern cable car. Once on top of the summit, you will tour the ruins and hear the account of one of the most fascinating tragedies in recorded history.  After the visit we will descend by Cable car from the mountain. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM

Today: Today we will start with Mt. of Olives to visit the chapel of the Ascension, then to Patter Noster, where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer then view of Jerusalem, descend to the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations. Afternoon visit the Model of the City of Jerusalem in the time of the 2nd Temple. Continue to Yad Vashem Memorial, after the visit drive to the Menorah, near the Knesset.

JERUSALEM

Today: Today we will enter the Old City via the Dung Gate for walking tour in the Old City. Visit the Western (Wailing) Wall, enter to the Southern Steps, (the main entry to the Temple in time of Jesus).

Leave the Old city via the Dung gate and drive to the Lions Gate (St. Stephen Gate), walk to the Pool of Bethesda (John 5). Follow the footsteps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. On through the Christian Quarter, the Jewish Quarter to Mt. Zion for a visit to King David’s Tomb and the Room of the last Supper (Luke 22: 7, 13). St. Peter in Galicantu, (house of Caiaphas), where St. Peter denied Jesus 3 times before the rooster crowed (Mat. 26: 69-75). In the afternoon we will visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israeli Museum. We then continue to the Garden Tomb for a service.

TEL AVIV / USA

Today: After Breakfast we will transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home

  • Prices are subject to change if we do not receive a signed copy of this agreement within the 30 days.
  • This quote is based on a group of minimum 20 people, 1 person travels for free for every 20 paid people. Spiritual Leader always travels for free.
  • If the tour leader/organizer fails to have a group of 20 people (including the spiritual director) by 90 days prior to departure date, there will be no deposit refunds and Nativity Pilgrimage has the right to either continue or cancel or reschedule this pilgrimage, or join it with another pilgrimage that is going to the same destination on same or different dates.
