ITINERARY

DAY 1: FLIGHT TO MEXICO CITY

Today marks the exciting start of your pilgrimage journey! You’ll board a flight to the enchanting Mexico City, a hub of culture and spirituality. Upon your arrival, we’ll hop on our tour bus and make our way to your hotel. Dinner will be waiting for you, followed by a restful overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 2: The best of Mexico City

Today, we’re excited to explore downtown Mexico City! Our journey begins at the Plaza of the Three Cultures, showcasing the rich blend of pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern history. Don’t miss the Templo de Santiago, built by Cortés in 1609, and see the Baptismal font of Juan Diego at the church. Next, we’ll visit the Metropolitan Cathedral in the Zócalo, home to the Chapel of the Miraculous Cross of Poison, which turned black after absorbing poison meant for a bishop. We’ll admire the National Palace and stroll down Francisco y Madero, filled with remarkable architecture. Look out for Casa de los Azulejos and the Temple of San Francisco. The Baroque-style Temple of San Felipe Neri has an impressive gallery, and we’ll also see the Palacio de Iturbide, built in 1779. In the afternoon, we’ll stop at the Church of la Sagrada Familia to honor Blessed Miguel Pro. Finally, we’ll enjoy a delicious taco dinner before heading back to the hotel. What a fantastic day of exploration!

DAY 3: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe – Full day at Shrine – Dinner with Mariachi night

Today we will dedicate the day to Our Lady by visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas. This significant pilgrimage site has roots dating back to 1531 when Juan Diego received a vision of the Virgin Mary. Our day will include spiritual experiences: kneeling before the Tilma with Our Lady’s image, climbing Tepeyac Hill, and visiting the Old Basilica, Chapel of the Indians, and Chapel of the Well. We’ll end the day with dinner and Mariachis at a local restaurant.

DAY 4: TULPETLAC

After breakfast, transfer to the Church of the 5th Apparition in Tulpetlac, where the Blessed Virgin Maria de Guadalupe appeared to Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego’s uncle. Here you can find a well of healing water which locals drink from. Holy Mass. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: San Juan Teotihuacan – Free Day in Mexico City

We will visit San Juan Teotihuacan, a major cultural center in Mesoamerica, known for its monumental sites like the Citadel, Temple of the Feathered Serpent, and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. A guided tour will cover the Aztecs’ use of obsidian and the Maguey Plant. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city, with dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 6: Day Trip to Puebla

After breakfast, we’ll journey to Puebla, a charming colonial town. Our first stop is the St. Francis of Assisi Church to see the incorrupt body of Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio. Next, we’ll celebrate Mass at the beautiful Church of Santo Domingo and admire the chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. After lunch at a traditional Puebla restaurant, we’ll return to our Mexico City hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 7: RETURN FLIGHT HOME

This morning, if time permits, we will say farewell to our Lady or have Mass at one of nearby churches, followed by transfer to the airport for your return flight(s) home.
