13-DAY MARIAN SHRINES & ROME

After breakfast, we’re ready for an exciting day in Fatima, a place of deep spiritual significance! We’ll start with Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions, where the story of Lucia dos Santos, Francisco, and Jacinta Marto unfolds. Next, we’ll visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and explore the town of Aljustrel, where the children lived. We’ll also take in the beautiful countryside of Valinhos and walk along the Via Sacra, reflecting on the Stations of the Cross. After a fulfilling day, we’ll gather for dinner and return to our hotel for a restful evening. 

Our day begins with a scenic journey to Porto, where you’ll get to tour a local wine factory and savor the rich flavors of this famous region. Following this, a visit to the stunning Church of St. Francis awaits. After soaking in Porto’s beauty, we’ll travel onward to Santiago de Compostela for the evening. Enjoy a delightful dinner and settle into your hotel for the night. 

Your day will begin at the stunning Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica, the burial site of Saint James the Great. Next, we’ll visit the Churches of San Francisco and Santa Clara, admire the Bell Tower, and explore other notable sites. After a day of inspiration, enjoy a lovely dinner before returning to your hotel for a restful night. 

Today, we will visit the beautiful city of Burgos, starting with the Cathedral of Burgos, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This splendid Gothic cathedral has served as a burial site for Spanish kings and showcases incredible artistic talent. We’ll celebrate Mass together, and if time allows, you can explore the charming streets of Burgos before returning to our hotel for dinner and a restful night. 

We start the day at Loyola, birthplace of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuit Order. After visiting the inspiring Basilica of Loyola, we’ll head to the peaceful town of Lourdes. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel, enjoy dinner, and take part in a memorable candlelight procession. 

This morning, we will explore the spiritual atmosphere of Lourdes, starting at St. Bernadette’s home. We’ll visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Miraculous Spring, the Shrine of Bernadette, the 12th-century castle, and the Stations of the Cross. After the guided tour, you’ll have free time for personal devotion or ceremonies. In the evening, we’ll gather for dinner before returning to our hotel for a restful night. 

After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport for our flight to Rome. Upon arrival, our guide will meet us for a panoramic tour of the “Eternal City.” We’ll visit the iconic Trevi Fountain, where you can enjoy some leisure time and lunch. Then, we’ll see the magnificent Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. In the evening, we’ll have dinner and check into our hotel for the night. 

Get ready for an early start! We’ll head to St. Peter’s Square for the Papal Audience with Pope Leo XIV, an incredible experience (pending on the Holy Father’s schedule). After the audience, we’ll visit the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica to celebrate Mass together. Next, we’ll embark on an enlightening guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, where art and spirituality intertwine. Dinner will be shared together, followed by a restful night at our hotel. 

We’ll start our day at St. Paul Outside the Walls, then explore Ancient Rome, including the Coliseum, Capitol Hill, the Vittorio Emmanuel Monument, the Roman Forum, and the Circus Maximus. In the afternoon, we’ll visit St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran Basilicas. After a full day, we’ll enjoy dinner and relax at our hotel for the night. 

Today, we’ll visit the enchanting town of Assisi, home of Saint Francis. We’ll start at the Basilica of St. Francis, reflecting at his tomb and exploring the chapel and the Church of St. Clare. Next, we’ll head to the St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, stroll through medieval streets, and enjoy some free time for shopping and local cuisine. We’ll also stop at the Santuario Della Spogliazione to honor Blessed Carlo Acutis’ tomb. After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to Rome for a farewell dinner before heading back to our hotel.
