ITINERARY
Today marks the beginning of an incredible journey as you board your overnight flight to Greece! Get ready for an adventure filled with history, culture, and spiritual exploration.
Upon our arrival, we’ll be welcomed by our knowledgeable guide, who will help kickstart our experience in this vibrant city. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Athens, taking in its stunning sights and rich heritage. After being transported to our hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day to unwind and soak up the local atmosphere. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at a comfortable hotel in Athens.
Join us for a special day as we visit the tranquil Monastery of Caesarian, founded in the 11th century. We’ll begin with a moment of prayer and a stroll through the lovely gardens. Then, we’ll head into the heart of Athens to explore historical sites like the Agora, Acropolis, Parthenon, Arch of Hadrian, and Temple of Zeus. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner before resting at our hotel.
Our adventure continues as we head to the ancient city of Corinth, where St. Paul preached and formed a vibrant community. During our visit, we’ll take time to celebrate liturgy and reflect on Paul’s remarkable mission. After a fulfilling lunch in Nauplius, we’ll explore Epidaurus, home to one of the world’s best-preserved amphitheaters, renowned for its extraordinary acoustics. Dinner and comfortable accommodations will be enjoyed at our hotel.
After a delightful breakfast, we will commence an invigorating cruise through the captivating Greek Isles. As we navigate these waters, participants are encouraged to appreciate the stunning vistas of idyllic beaches, enjoy the pleasant sunshine, and immerse themselves in the vibrant blue sea. In the afternoon, we will dock in the picturesque island of Mykonos, renowned for its exquisite dining establishments, distinctive boutiques, and enchanting historical ambiance. Attendees should seize the opportunity to witness the magnificent sunset before we reconvene aboard the ship for dinner and a period of rest, as we prepare to set sail for Ephesus.
Join us for a day of history and inspiration! We’ll start at Mt. Koressos, home to a chapel where the Virgin Mary spent her final days. Next, we’ll explore Ephesus, entering through the Magnesian Gate to visit the Great Theatre and walk along the Arcadian Way, imagining the footsteps of Mark Antony and Cleopatra. Enjoy some shopping and café time in Kusadasi before lunch on the ship. Our journey continues to Patmos, where you can visit the monastery where St. John wrote the Book of Revelation. After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to the ship for dinner and set sail for Crete.
Rise and shine! Our exploration in Crete takes us to the fascinating ruins of Knossos, near Heraklion. This site, along with the stunning Knossos Palace and Venetian fortresses, showcases ancient Greece’s rich history. Enjoy wandering through the vibrant outdoor market, a feast for your senses! Next, we’ll sail to Santorini, where the volcanic crater meets the sea. Discover charming shops and cafes among the white houses, with an optional guided tour to uncover the island’s secrets. After a day of beauty and culture, we’ll enjoy dinner onboard and settle in for the night.
Today, we head back to Athens to catch our flight to the vibrant city of Istanbul. Depending on our arrival time, you may have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a guided city tour. Dinner will be served at our hotel, where we can share stories and excitement about the days ahead.
Join us for an unforgettable tour of Istanbul! We’ll visit iconic landmarks like Hagia Sophia, a stunning architectural marvel, the Byzantine Hippodrome, the intricate Blue Mosque, and the serene Underground Cisterns. Don’t miss the Chora Church, known for its beautiful mosaics. After our explorations, we’ll head to Canakkale for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on our day.
Our adventure takes us to the legendary site of ancient Troy! With a history dating back to 3000 BC and its famed association with the Trojan War, this visit promises to be unforgettable. Following our explorations, we’ll head back to Istanbul for an evening of relaxation and a delicious dinner at our hotel.
Get ready for an exciting boat trip through the Bosphorus Strait today! We’ll visit the historic Topkapi Palace, followed by a moment of reflection at the Church of San Antonio. We’ll also tour a renowned Turkish carpet workshop and explore the vibrant Grand Bazaar. Finally, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the hotel for some rest.
