DAY 1: FLIGHT TO MILAN  

Today, you will depart on your exciting and spiritual journey tracing the footsteps of the Holy Shroud from Italy to France. Prepare your heart and mind for a transformative pilgrimage centered on the Holy Shroud.

DAY 2: MILAN | TURIN

Upon arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to Turin. If time permits, enjoy a historical and archaeological visit to the Egyptian Museum of Turin, one of the most important collections of Egyptian antiquities outside Cairo, Egypt! After checking into your hotel, enjoy a welcome dinner at Trattoria Dell’Amicizia, featuring local wine and Italian cuisine.

DAY 3: TURIN

This morning, we will attend a private Mass at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist and learn about its history. This afternoon, we’ll explore and hear about the history of Piazza Castello, Palazzo Madama, and the first-century Roman ruin of Porta Palatina. Later, we’ll also visit the Guarini Chapel, the Royal Palace, and the Diocesan Museum, which highlights the history of the Holy Shroud. Afterward, we’ll enjoy dinner with local wine and Italian cuisine before retiring for the evening at our hotel.

DAY 4: TURIN

This morning, we will explore the connections between the Confraternity, the Church of the Holy Shroud, and the Museo della Sindone. In the afternoon, we will enjoy tea or coffee at the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians and celebrate Mass with Fr. Michael, learning about his commitment to educating the poor. Afterward, we return to your hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening in Turin.

DAY 5: CHAMBÉRY, FRANCE

Today, we visit Chambéry, France, where the Shroud was housed from 1453 to 1578. We’ll explore the Chambéry Cathedral, once home to the Holy Shroud and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud. We’ll also tour the Old Town and see Rue Basse du Château, Elephant Fountain, and the Château of the Dukes of Savoy, the former owners of the Shroud. Later, we’ll enjoy the delicious Italian cuisine before getting a good night’s rest at our hotel.

DAY 6: DIJON 

Start your day with a morning departure to Dijon. Upon arrival, take your time to savor a leisurely lunch before exploring the city’s highlights, including the Ducal Palace, the Church of Notre-Dame, Dijon Cathedral, and the Musée Archéologique de Dijon, among other attractions. Tonight, for dinner, indulge in the local specialties, featuring classic dishes like Coq au Vin, Beef Bourguignon, and escargot, all perfectly complemented by exquisite Burgundy wines.

DAY 7:  TROYES | LIREY | PARIS 

Today, we will visit the Collegiate Church of St. Mary in Lirey, where Geoffroy de Charny, the first European owner of the Holy Shroud, kept the relic. Following his death in 1356, the Shroud was removed due to safety concerns after the French defeat at Poitiers. Next, we’ll tour Troyes Cathedral and Eglise St. Madeleine. Afterward, we’ll transfer to Paris for dinner and overnight accommodations in the “City of Lights.”

DAY 8: PARIS

Start your day with a visit to the stunning Sainte-Chapelle, which boasts an impressive collection of sacred relics, including the Holy Shroud at one time. After that, head over to the Cluny Museum, where you can marvel at the Lirey Medallion, an important artifact connected to the history of the Shroud. Next up is a guided tour of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. In the evening, the group will gather for dinner outside the hotel, offering a perfect opportunity to unwind and savor some local cuisine in a delightful atmosphere.

DAY 9: PARIS

Experience the beauty of Paris by visiting iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower! Participate in a Mass at either the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica or the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal on Rue du Bac. In the evening, enjoy a dinner cruise on the Seine River, savoring French cuisine as you take in the city’s nighttime charm before settling in for an overnight stay in the heart of Paris.

DAY 10: PARIS

Start your day at the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre, where you can admire its striking dome and enjoy panoramic views of Paris. Next, visit the iconic Arc de Triomphe at the end of the Champs-Élysées, a monument that pays tribute to the sacrifices of French soldiers. End your day with a farewell dinner, celebrating your journey and sharing memories in a festive atmosphere.

DAY 11: RETURN HOME

Transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport for the return flight home, carrying with you the profound spiritual insights and memories of the Holy Shroud pilgrimage.
