DAY 2: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe | Tepeyac Hill

Today is devoted to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the world’s most visited Marian pilgrimage site. In 1531, the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego, leaving her miraculous image on his tilma, now housed in the Basilica. Patroness of Mexico and Empress of the Americas, she symbolizes faith and unity. Attend Holy Mass and tour the sanctuary complex, including the New and Old Basilicas, the Chapel of the Hill (Cerrito), and the Chapel of the Well (Pocito), with time for personal prayer. DAY 3: Mexico City Historic Tour

Explore Mexico City’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site blending indigenous and colonial traditions. Attend Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral, built atop the Aztec Templo Mayor, then enjoy a walking tour of the Zócalo, Metropolitan Sagrario, and Santo Domingo Church. In the afternoon, take a panoramic drive along Reforma Avenue past the Palace of Fine Arts and historic districts, followed by dinner on your own. Overnight in Mexico City.

DAY 4: Mexico City | Querétaro | San Miguel de Allende

Depart Mexico City for Querétaro, a key center of Franciscan evangelization. Celebrate Mass at the 17th-century Convent of the Holy Cross, noted for its missionary legacy and miraculous cross-shaped thorn tree. After a brief panoramic tour of the historic center, continue to San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO-listed city celebrated for its colonial architecture and Catholic heritage. Overnight in San Miguel de Allende.

DAY 5: San Miguel de Allende | Atotonilco | Guanajuato

Begin the day with Holy Mass at the Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel, the iconic symbol of San Miguel de Allende. After a walking tour of the historic center, travel to Atotonilco to visit the Sanctuary of Jesus of Nazareth, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of Mexico” due to its impressive biblical murals depicting the Passion of Christ. Continue on to the historic mining city of Guanajuato. Overnight in Guanajuato.

DAY 6: Historic Guanajuato

Explore Guanajuato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colorful colonial architecture and history. Attend Mass at a historic church, then visit the Historic Center, Plaza de la Paz, the University of Guanajuato (exterior), the Alley of the Kiss, and the Pípila Monument for panoramic city views. DAY 7: Guanajuato | Christ the King | San Juan de los Lagos

Visit the traditional Hidalgo and Gavira markets for a glimpse of daily Mexican life, then continue to Cerro del Cubilete—Mexico’s geographic center—home to the Sanctuary of Christ the King and a symbol of the Cristero martyrs. Celebrate Mass, pass through Dolores Hidalgo, birthplace of Mexican Independence, and continue to San Juan de los Lagos for an overnight stay.

DAY 8: Saint Toribio Romo | Sahuayo | Guadalajara

Celebrate Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of Saint Toribio Romo, a Cristero martyr widely venerated as the protector of migrants. Continue to Sahuayo, birthplace of Saint José Sánchez del Río, a young martyr who gave his life for Christ the King. The journey continues to Guadalajara, capital of the state of Jalisco. Overnight in Guadalajara.

DAY 9: Zapopan | Tequila | Lake Chapala

Celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan, home to one of Mexico’s oldest and most beloved Marian images, affectionately known as La Generala. Visit the town of Tequila, birthplace of one of Mexico’s most iconic cultural traditions, followed by an excursion to Lake Chapala, the largest lake in the country. Return to Guadalajara for overnight.

DAY 10: Guadalajara | Thanksgiving Mass | Departure

Conclude your pilgrimage with a Thanksgiving Holy Mass at the Cathedral of Guadalajara, an architectural masterpiece blending Baroque and Neo-Gothic styles and a symbol of the city’s deep-rooted faith. Enjoy free time for shopping and farewell before transferring to the airport for departure, carrying with you lasting spiritual memories of this sacred journey.
