SARRIA / PORTOMARIN
Today: You will hike approximately 14 miles today on some paved trails through the beautiful countryside to Portomarin. Expect some hills through charming villages and hamlets. Don’t forget to get your pilgrim’s passport stamped along the way.

PORTOMARIN / PALAS DE REI
Today: You will walk approximately 14 miles to Palas de Rei. The route will take you on rolling hills through farmland, rustic and peaceful forests following paths lined by stone walls. Don’t miss the 2200-year-old ancient ruins of Castromaior on your way.
Evening: Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Palas de Rei.

PALAS DE REI / MELIDE
Today: Enjoy a nice walk (approximately 9 miles) today, discovering local customs, meeting fellow pilgrims and basking in the unique atmosphere of the Camino. Melide is known for the best pulpo (octopus!) in Glacia.

Today: Discover local traditions, rewarding yourself with good food after a day hiking in Galicia’s peaceful, green countryside. Today’s mileage is approximately 8 miles.

Today: Enjoy the green rolling landscape of Galicia on today’s 14-mile walk to Amenal. Today, the path becomes gentler. Enjoy this time off from your busy life and reflect on your journey while interacting with fellow pilgrims.

AMENAL / SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Today: This will be your final leg into Santiago. Climb up into Monte do Gozo (Mount of Joy) and take in the stunning views of Santigo before you enter the medieval town. Once in Santiago, attend the Pilgrim’s Mass and witness the famous swinging Botafumeiro ritual.

Today: You can enjoy your FREE day in Santiago to explore one of the most famous shrines in the world where the tomb of St. James was discovered. Consider taking a bus tour to Finisterre to see the “End of the Earth.”
