September 6, 2020: USA / PARIS

Today: Your pilgrimage begins today as you depart on your overnight flight to Paris. Meals and drinks served aloft.

September 7, 2020: ARRIVE PARIS – SHRINES’ TOUR

Today: Upon arrival in Paris this morning, we will be met at the airport by our local tour escort. We will then proceed to visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal where Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Labouré on November 27, 1830. Visit the incorrupt body of St. Catherine, the heart of St. Vincent de Paul, and the body of St. Louise de Marillac. Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. Stay will be at a hotel next to shrine. Lunch will be next door to the Shrine at La Grande Epicerie de Paris. Visit the Shrine of St. Vincent de Paul, founder of the Vincentians and Co-founder with Louise de Marillac of the Daughters of Charity. Visit the incorrupt body of St. Vincent de Paul and the Sainte-Chapelle (Holy Chapel), the stunning Gothic chapel of King St. Louis IX (1214 – 1270). It was the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century and it was commissioned by King St. Louis IX to house his collection of the Passion relics, including Christ’s Crown of Thorns, the Image of Edessa (Face of Christ), and some thirty other treasures. Drive past Pont Saint-Michel to Place Saint-Michel/Fontaine Saint-Michel in the Latin Quarter. Drive through the Luxembourg Gardens. Visit Saint-Etienne-duMont to pray before the relics of St. Genevieve, patron saint of Paris, and the beautiful Adoration Chapel in the center of the church. This year (2020), we celebrate the 1,600th anniversary of St. Genevieve, including Saint Etienne du Mont. Proceed to Sacré-Cœur. Though this Basilica was built in the 19th century, Montmartre has been a sacred site since pagan times; St Genevieve wanted a church built here; Bishop St. Denis, and innumerable Christians, died on this Mount for the Holy Faith. Here, we will have time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Dinner and then return to our hotel.

September 8, 2020: PARIS – ROUEN / LISIEUX / MONT-SAINT MICHEL

Today: Depart Paris early in the morning for Rouen to see the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the place where St. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Proceed to Lisieux to the Sanctuaire Sainte Therese and Carmel de Lisieux to see the body of the Little Flower. Mass followed by Lunch in Lisieux. Continue to Mont-Saint-Michel and stay at a hotel inside the Island of MontSaint-Michel.

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

September 9, 2020: MONT-SAINT-MICHEL

Today: Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the principal shrines of the Archangel Michael in the world and where he appeared to St. Aubert in 708 A.D., and one of the medieval wonders of Europe. Visit St. Aubert’s Chapel, the Grande Rue, and the Benedictine Abbey, which is perched atop the rock island. Celebrate Mass in the Romanesque Church of St. Michael. Dinner and overnight at a hotel inside the island will be in Mont‐St‐Michel.

September 10, 2020: MONT-SAINT-MICHEL SOLESMES ABBEY / LOIRE-VALLEY-CHATEAU

Today: Depart Mont-Saint-Michel for Solesmes Abbey for a short visit to the 1,000 year-old Benedictine Monastery founded in 1010 A.D. Proceed to the Basilique Saint Martin in Tours to see the tomb of St. Martin of Tours, the famous Roman soldier-turned-Bishop and close relative of St. Patrick’s Mother, Conchessa. Mass at Basilique Saint Martin. We also visit the Blessed Leo Dupont’s home (now Oratory of the Holy Face). Drive to the Loire Valley, which is the subject of innumerable inspirations in music, art and literature, and holds wonders of architectural beauty. Chateaux (hotel) to stay in Loire Valley.

September 11, 2020: LOIRE VALLEY / SAINT CROIX / NEVERS / PARAY-LE-MONIAL

Today: Short visit at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross (Saint-Croix) of Orleans. Joan of Arc (1412-1431) visited and prayed in the cathedral on April, 29, 1429 when the city was under siege. Later, Saint Joan of Arc freed Orleans during the Hundred Years’ War. A chapel in the apse is dedicated to the saint and her life story is told in ten of the cathedral’s stained-glass windows, showing such iconic scenes as Joan hearing angelic voices instructing her to defend France. Visit Saint Gildard Convent and Museum in Nevers to see the Incorrupt body of St. Bernadette. Proceed to Paray-le-Monial, the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This shrine is the home to the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus where Jesus chose St. Margaret Mary Alacoque to be the instrument that would lead the world back to Christ through His Sacred Heart, favoring her with several apparitions between 1673 and 1675. Following Mass at the Visitation Chapel, we will visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the Chapel of St. Claude La Colombiere, which contains the relics of its namesake saint. Stay in the closest guest house to Sacred Heart Shrine: Hôtel du Prieuré (8 Avenue Jean-Paul II) a 5-minute walk from Sanctuary of Paray-le-Monial and Basilique du Sacre Coeur de Jesus.

September 12, 2020: PARAY-LE-MONIAL / ARS-SUR-FORMANS / LE PUY

Today: Morning in Paray-le-Monial. Proceed to Ars for Mass at the Basilica, and visit the house of the Cure of Ars, St. Jean Vianney. Proceed to Le Puy Cathedral & St. Michael’s Needle. Since the 10th century, Le Puy Cathedral has been the beginning of the Via Podiensis, pilgrim route from Le Puy to Compostela. Along with St. Michael’s Needle across from the Cathedral, there are also multiple churches on rock formations near Le Puy. Visit Le Puy-EnVelay at the Sanctuary of St. Joseph de Bon Espoir (St. Joseph of Good Hope) which is 6 minutes from St. Michael’s Needle, featuring a 48-foot statue of St. Joseph and the grotto dedicated to St. Joseph. Overnight and dinner at Le Puy hotel near cathedral.

September 13, 2020: LE PUY / LA SALLETTE

Today: Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette where Our Lady appeared in 1846 with special apocalyptic messages. Mass at shrine and overnight in the hotel near the Shrine

September 14, 2020: LA SALETTE / COTIGNAC / ST. BAUME

Today: Depart La Salette and drive to Cotignac, where in 1660, St. Joseph appeared to the shepherd Gaspard Ricard. This site of St. Joseph’s healing spring is one of the very few approved apparition sites of St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church. Mass at the shrine where many healing miracles have occurred. Drive one hour west to Plan-d’Aups-Sainte-Baume, which was the home of St. Mary Magdalen after her exile, along with her sister St. Martha, St. Lazarus, St Maximin and around 70 others, sent out into the Mediterranean on a boat with no oars. Monks began to settle near the dwelling of St. Mary Magdalen in the fifth century, and in the 13th century, St. Louis IX, King of France came here on his return from the Seventh Crusade in 1254. Since then, many miracles are credited to Saint Mary Magdalene from those who have sought her intercession.

September 15, 2020: ST. BAUME / CARCASSONNE / MASS IN TOULOUSE AT TOMB OF ST. THOMAS / LOURDES

Today:Depart St Baume and make a short drive through the lovely medieval town of Carcassonne, directly en route to Toulouse and the Tomb of St. Thomas Aquinas (Doctor of the Church) inside the Jacobins Monastery. Crown the early afternoon with Mass at the Tomb of St. Thomas Aquinas, followed by lunch in Toulouse. Continue to Lourdes to the nearest hotel to the Shrine.

September 16, 2020: LOURDES

Today: Mass and the day in Lourdes. Mass at the Grotto of Massabielle, the site where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared. Also visit the Basilica of Pius X (the world’s largest underground church), see the house where Bernadette lived during the Apparitions, and visit several of the sites where the miraculous cures have taken place. This evening we will participate in the Blessed Sacrament Procession and the Candlelight Procession.

September 17, 2020: LOURDES / SAINT-LAURENT-SUR-SEVRE / MASS AT TOM OF SAINT LOUS MARIE GRIGNON DE MONTFORT / CHARTRES

Today: Depart Lourdes at the earliest hour possible for Mass at Saint-Laurentsur-Sèvre at the Tomb of Saint Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort, the saint who most influenced Pope John Paul II who would later state about the book True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, “I read and reread many times and with great spiritual profit.” Continue to Chartres – also home of the Sancta Camisia, or Tunic of the Blessed Virgin – arriving for a tour by early afternoon, for best sunlight through the stained-glass windows. Dinner following at local restaurant before returning to Paris hotel.

September 18, 2020: PARIS / U.S.A

Today: This morning we will transfer to the airport to board our return flight home.

Land Transportation All land transportation as describe in the itinerary will be by Deluxe Motor Coach, some may be equipped with WI-FI service.

Hotels First class Hotels (Hotel rooms are double occupancy (2 people per

room with private bath).

Porterage at hotels.

Single Room There is an additional cost per person specified on registration form. Single rooms are limited and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.

Meal Plan The meal plan offers 2 meals per day and consists of both breakfast and dinner. You are responsible for your lunch.

Baggage Nativity Pilgrimage limits all passengers to 1 piece of checked luggage and 1 carry-on. (All passengers should check with the airlines carriers for up to date baggage weight and dimensions).

Expenses for passports or any additional documents that may be required. Tips. (Suggested Tips: Tour Escort: $7 per person per day. Driver: $5 per person per day. Local guide HD: $1 per person per day. Local guide FD: $2 per person per day. Porter: $1 per person per hotel (although, we pay for porterage service at hotels it is expected to give a tip to the porter). Restaurants/ Hotel restaurants: $1 per person per meal.
