Pope Fracis to canonize Blessed Carlo Acutis in 2025

Blessed Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager born on May 3, 1991, in London and raised in Milan, is an inspiring figure for today’s youth. Known for his deep love for the Eucharist and his talent with technology, Carlo’s life offers a compelling example of holiness in the modern age.

Despite his short life, his impact on the world has been profound. From an early age, Carlo demonstrated an unusual devotion to his faith. He attended Mass daily, prayed the Rosary, and spent time in Eucharistic Adoration. His spirituality was deeply rooted in a simple yet profound belief: “The Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”

Carlo combined this devotion with a keen interest in computers, teaching himself programming and web design. He used his skills to create an online catalog of Eucharistic miracles, a project aimed at rekindling faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Carlo’s love for life and his generous spirit were evident in his everyday actions. He was known for defending classmates who were bullied and for offering his own resources to help the poor.

Diagnosed with leukemia at 15, Carlo accepted his suffering with remarkable serenity, offering it for the Church and the Pope. He passed away on October 12, 2006. Beatified on October 10, 2020, Carlo Acutis is a patron of the digital age, showing how technology can be a tool for evangelization. His legacy continues to inspire millions to live lives of faith, generosity, and love.
