DEPARTURE USA TO ISRAEL – Daily Marriage Theme: Dreams and Goals for Your Journey Together

Today: Your pilgrimage begins today boarding your flight to Israel. Meals and drinks served aloft.

TEL AVIV / NETANYADaily Marriage Theme: The Grace of Welcome

Today: Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. Travel through customs and meet our Catholic guide who will accompany us throughout our pilgrimage. Board your coach bus for the trip to your hotel in Netanya. 

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Netanya.

Iblin / Cana / Nazareth / Mt. Tabor / Tiberias – Daily Marriage Theme: The Luminous Mysteries in Your Marriage + Sacramentality

Today: After breakfast and hotel check out, our first full day of The Holy Family pilgrimage begins with a drive along the Mediterranean Coast to the town of Iblin, where we will visit a school started by Elias Chacour, a Melkite Greek Catholic priest and author, who is noted for his efforts to promote reconciliation between Arabs and Jews. Next, couples will travel to Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle, where Mass will be celebrated. On this special day, where the Wedding at Cana took place, we honor the vocation of marriage as couples will renew their wedding promises to each other. In the afternoon, couples will visit Nazareth, the hometown of the Holy Family. We will visit The Basilica of the Annunciation, where the Angel Gabriel tells Mary she is to be the mother of God. We also visit St. Joseph’s Church. Couples will conclude their day with a visit to Mount Tabor, the scene of the Transfiguration. 

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Tiberias.

Sea of Galilee / Tiberias  – Daily Marriage Theme: The Luminous Mysteries in Your Marriage + Beatitudes of Marriage

Today: After breakfast, couples will begin the day by praying an intentional rosary at Duc In Altum overlooking the Sea of Galilee and a guided tour of the archaeological park dating to the 1st century. Next, we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where couples will visit the Church, hear the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes for Your Marriage. Then, we visit Tabgha, the site where the miracle of the multiplication of fish and bread took place. Couples will enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s Fish lunch before visiting Church of Peter’s Primacy the location of the Miraculous Fishing. We will visit Capernaum where Jesus lived and started his ministry. Couples will set sail on the Sea of Galilee, where Mass will be celebrated, as was done in the time of Jesus. 

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Tiberias.

Jordan River / Jericho / Dead Sea / Bethlehem – Daily Marriage Theme: The Luminous Mysteries in Your Marriage + Theology of the Body

Today: After breakfast and hotel check out, couples will travel to the Jordan River to renew their baptismal vows at Qasr el Yahud. This site holds the oldest and most ancient tradition for being the place of Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist (Mt. 3:13-17). Couples will visit the oasis town of Jericho, where Mass will be celebrated. In the afternoon, couples will see the Mt. of Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan, and the excavations of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were uncovered. Couples will have a great time floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties, and enjoy a cold drink! Drive to Bethlehem.

Bethlehem / Breaking Bread Dinner – Daily Marriage Theme: The Joyful Mysteries + The Domestic Church

Today: : After breakfast, couples will start the day in Bethlehem with Mass. We visit the Church of the Nativity, which stands upon the site where Jesus was born. Couples will visit the Milk Grotto Shrine, where according to tradition, while fleeing from Herold’s soldiers on their way to Egypt, the Holy Family stopped so Mary could nurse baby Jesus. A drop of her milk fell upon the stone and it turned completely white. A visit to Shepherd’s Field, where the angels announced to the shepherds the birth of the Christ Child, will give couples an opportunity to explore and pray. In the afternoon, we visit the Holy Child School, an artisan workshop and the opportunity to help support Christian families at a Christian Cooperative store.

Evening: Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Bethlehem.

Ein Karem / Jerusalem – Daily Marriage Theme: The Joyful Mysteries in Your Marriage + Magnificat Gratitude

Today: After breakfast and hotel check out, couples visit Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. We will celebrate Mass at the Church of the Visitation, where the Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificat.’ Upon arrival in Jerusalem, we will visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. Here, with excellent acoustics, couples will sing together in praise and thanksgiving. We will also pass the Ecce Home where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”. The rest of the day is open for visits to other holy sites, shopping, or resting at your hotel.

Evening: Couples will enjoy a ‘date night dinner’ at a local restaurant in Jerusalem. Overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem: Mt. of Olives / Mt. Zion / Wailing Wall – Daily Marriage Theme: The Sorrowful Mysteries + Coping with Loss

Today: After breakfast, couples visit the Mt. of Olives and The Pater Noster where Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer to his disciples. From there, couples will walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, and where Mass will be celebrated. We continue our walk to the Garden of Gethsemane and see The Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed his last prayer before his arrest. This afternoon, we drive to the hill of Mount Zion, the highest point in ancient Jerusalem. Couples will visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built over Caiaphas’ house, where Peter denied our Lord three times and where Jesus was detained for the night following his arrest. We conclude our day with a visit to the Wailing Wall, the holiest place for the Jews. The rest of the day is open for visits to other holy sites, shopping, or resting at your hotel.

Via Dolorosa / Abu Gosh – Daily Marriage Theme: The Glorious Mysteries in Your Marriage + Being Sent as Apostles

Today: Early in the morning, couples will retrace the last steps of Jesus, as they walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross. We end with holy Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will return to the hotel for breakfast and rest. In the afternoon, couples will travel to Abu Gosh. Here, we visit the Church of the Ark of the Covenant where we enjoy the beautiful view and “look back” in the distance and in memory over everything we’ve seen while on pilgrimage. 

Evening: A special Couples Farewell Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Depart from Tel Aviv – Daily Marriage Theme: Staying Connected!

Today: This morning we will transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home.

THE TOUR PRICE INCLUDES

Air Transportation Economy class and round-trip airfares are based on the time of the reservation. Rates and times are subject to change without notice. Airfares, once issued, ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, NON –TRANSFERABLE, AND CANNOT BE USED TOWARDS FUTURE TRAVEL.

Land Transportation All land transportation as described in the itinerary will be by Deluxe Motor Coach. Some may be equipped with Wi-Fi service.

Hotels Your hotels will be first-class with double occupancy (2 people per room with a private bath). Neither Nativity Pilgrimage nor the trip coordinator are responsible for providing a roommate.

Single Room There is an additional cost per person as specified on the registration form. Single rooms are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Meal Plan The meal plan offers two (2) meals per day and consists of both breakfast and dinner. You are responsible for your lunch.

Baggage Nativity Pilgrimage limits all passengers to one (1) piece of checked luggage and one (1) carry-on. All passengers should check with the airlines carriers for up to date baggage weight and dimensions.

Tips The tips for the guide, driver and wait staff (for included meals only) total $190.00 for the entire trip and will be added as a line item to your invoice. Tip distribution will be handled by your tour manager. We recommend that you tip $1-2 per day for hotel cleaning staff.

Expenses for passports or any additional documents that may be required Passports must be valid after 6 months of return date.

Personal articles Laundry, other beverages (wines, liquors, mineral water, tea, coffee, etc.) and food that are not on the menus of your included meal package, and any additional luggage.

Non-itinerary fees Any sightseeing, other services, or personal items that are not specifically mentioned as being included in the itinerary.

Cancellation Protection Plan We highly recommend purchasing the Group Deluxe Protection Plan upon registration.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

A deposit of $300.00 per person is required at the time of booking. No reservation will be processed without a deposit. Final payment is due the closest business day within 100 days (January 10, 2022) prior to your departure date. Late registrations received after the deadline require full payment (subject to availability). No deposits will be accepted at this time.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD FOR DEPOSITS.

WE ACCEPT CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS, AND MAJOR CREDIT CARDS. THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL 3% CHARGE FOR EACH CREDIT CARD PAYMENT.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancellation notices must be received at our office in written form via email or regular U.S. mail.

For cancellations up to 100 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of $100 

For cancellations within 99 days to 50 days prior to departure: 50% of trip price

For cancellations within 49 days prior to departure: 100% of trip price

Insurance premiums are not refundable

We highly recommend purchasing the Group Deluxe Protection Plan to avoid these cancellation fees.

The IATA carriers, steamship firms and other transportation companies, whose services are featured in these tours, are not to be held responsible or accountable for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their respective conveyance. The passage contract in use by these companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers and Nativity Pilgrimage, Inc. does not assume any liability or responsibility in connection therewith. They are not responsible for any losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, guarantees, or other causes. All such losses or expenses shall be borne by the passenger as tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time stated. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar quality to those specified in the itinerary.

The right is reserved by Nativity Pilgrimage to cancel any tour prior to departure. Refund detail settlement conditions vary upon each trip.

No refund will be made for any used portion of the tour unless arrangements are made prior to departure from the United States.
